A PROVEN PARTNER IN SOVEREIGN STORYTELLING
Inside Our 20+ Years Collaborating to Preserve & Share First American Cultures
AMPLIFYING FIRST AMERICANS' IMPACT
The rich histories and prolific contributions of America’s First People are of fundamental significance – in our nation’s history and in the daily lives of tribal communities and neighboring communities alike.
While rooted in Oklahoma, we are proud of our decades of success stories in markets outside of our home state and the country, with partners around the globe.
Our creative capabilities are vast, but the collaborations and relationships we’ve built are our proudest achievements. We have the resources and experience to amplify the unique voices of the tribal nations that weave the tapestry of American history. These are your stories, your traditions, your culture – and attentive allyship is at the core of who we are.
WHO WE ARE
For more than 20 years, we’ve brought stories to life in nearly every conceivable artistic medium: documentaries, episodic programming, web shows, animation, original music, national television commercials, short films and more.
Comprised of a team of world-class storytellers, Ackerman McQueen works alongside a wide range of industry leaders, including First American Nations, to craft the narratives that allow audiences to connect with brands authentically. Our capabilities run the full gamut of video and audio services from pre- to post-production and everything in between.

TRIBAL ADVOCACY
PROTECTING SOVEREIGN RIGHTS
As Oklahomans, we are directly influenced by the collective histories and present-day contributions of 39 distinctive First American Nations. So, when it comes time to defend those contributions, we bring a specialized expertise in creative solutions for legal, business and cultural advocacy.
Through intense collaboration with First American law experts, tribal historians, cultural preservationists and tribal leadership, we’ve been able to hone our skills in distributing effective, culturally sensitive messaging and developing strong brand identities for First American Nations.

Being an effective advocate requires strategic research and a desire for historical integrity – something we’ve learned through nurturing long-lasting relationships with tribal nations. We are grateful to be able to extend that unique perspective to future partners.
We’ll work together to bring tribal issues to the forefront of state and nationwide conversations.
02
LEGAL ADVOCACY
& CRISIS MANAGEMENT
GOVERNANCE AND COMMUNICATIONS SUPPORT
If we’ve learned anything over the past year, it’s that life and business can be unpredictable. Without efficient organization in the face of conflict, a brand could take hits to its image, or worse, its finances.
In these moments, preservation takes on an entirely different meaning. Our experiences have allowed us to act quickly, often while navigating unprecedented situations.
03
CULTURAL PRESERVATION
GIVING RICH HISTORIES WORLDWIDE REACH
We take pride in our creative solutions, but true fulfillment comes with executing the visions of our diverse tribal partners and connecting tribal citizens living around the world, to their culture, history and language.
We have found that sharing authentic depictions of First American culture with the world and personifying the tribes’ contributions is a frontline defense against the ongoing incursion on tribal sovereign rights.
At the heart of it all, we want to preserve your rich histories and share your stories how you want them told.
Centuries of history have been written without the perspective of America’s First Nations. It’s time to rewrite.

GAMING, TOURISM & RETAIL
UPWARD AND OUTWARD: EXPANDING YOUR TRIBAL BRAND
Throughout our 32 years in the gaming industry, we’ve navigated through nearly everything: fiercely competitive markets, incredible growth and physical expansion, even a global pandemic. How did we manage? Ever-evolving strategy, world-class creative and a pinch of good luck.
Although confident in the face of competition, we’ve had prolific opportunities to partner with a variety of broadcast networks and Oklahoma destinations in our tourism and retail efforts.
These are the moments that allow a tribe to share its culture in new, even unconventional, spaces and disperse its influence across a variety of profitable ventures.

GROWING DIGITAL FOOTPRINTS
CREATING ONE-OF-A-KIND DIGITAL EXPERIENCES
Early on, as our relationship with the Chickasaw Nation continued to grow, so did advancements in technology and the number of people seeking new ways of learning about and connecting to tribal heritage. Seeing these new opportunities sparked development of a comprehensive digital space to house centuries of stories, history and culture.
Working alongside tribal historians and leaders, we created an immersive digital experience that would be the launching point for the multiple networks and platforms the Chickasaw Nation occupies today.
This collection of work, which was integrated into Chickasaw.tv, covers nine landmark periods of Chickasaw history in great detail. It includes informational maps, paintings, photography, historian-focused video content and original illustrations. Growing your tribe’s digital footprint can take many forms, and our capabilities range from website design and social media to online networks housing long-form storytelling.
We’ve created multiple digital video networks, broadcast campaigns and award-winning documentaries – all of which reinforce a positive brand image and connect you to your communities in new and exciting ways.
06
INTERTRIBAL COMMUNICATIONS
STAYING CONNECTED & INFORMED
While sharing your distinctive cultures and societal contributions with the world, it’s every bit as important to ensure intertribal messaging is just as clear. Effective communication is integral, not just among tribal leaders, but for connecting tribal communities to their culture.
If developing a solid system for communication is a point of interest for your Nation, we can act as a conduit for dispersing information, making your community – and your neighbors – aware of available programs and services.
